 Marcy
Bankus – Barrington Hills, IllinoisBob Jenkins – Chicago, Illinois In the late 1970's, Marcy
and Bob met Ch. Foyri Electrify, a white Bull Terrier shown by Marcy's
step-father, Dick Cooper. "Ted's" presence and personality sold them
on the breed. When Ted was retired from the show ring, Marcy was blessed
with him as her house dog. Ironically, they each had been won over by
Ted several years before they were ever to meet.
In
1989
their friendship
began through their involvement with the showing of their Great Pyrenees.
Bob has been involved in exhibit- ing for over 20 years, and Marcy for
over 30 years, with her family establishing Tip 'N Chip Kennels in 1948.
During the early years of their friendship, they had come to discover
a common love for Bull Terriers and the irony of the connection with
Ted.In 1996, when Marcy's
son Nick decided he wanted a dog to show other than a Pyr, this was
their chance to get a Bull Terrier and to begin their venture into the
world of breed- ing Bull Terriers. They began researching breeders and
dogs, and came to find that they liked the dogs being handled by the
all-breed handler Vanessa Everett. Whereupon she introduced them to
Paula Grecco of Ruffin Bull Terriers in Valparaiso, Indiana.In October 1998 they had
their beginning when Marcy and Nick brought Ruffin's Aragon Gale (Jessy)
to their home in Barrington Hills, Illinois. Thus Aragon Bull Terriers
was born. Soon after, the second step in Aragon was added in the presence
of Horizon's Headed For Aragon (Rosie), who lived with Bob in Chicago.
Again, with the help and assistance of Paula and now a new-found friend
in their lives, Kevin Gardner of Horizon Bull Terriers in Plymouth,
Indiana.Sadly, in July 2006, Bob passed away at 51 years old.

Memoriam.) Marcy now continues on with the kennel, with a goal
to breed for excellence in quality, temperament, and health, to help
further benefit the breed.
